When a brownfield site is to be redeveloped, it is not unusual for buildings and structures to remain onsite. Redstart can manage and conduct the demolition process ensuring optimal timing of the overall site preparatory work.
Using modern plant our experienced demolition team will carefully demolish the buildings with sustainability in mind. We are also a considerate contractor and always aim to mitigate the impact on the neighbouring receptors during the demolition process. Our environmental team monitor emissions including, dust noise and vibration to ensure our work is carried out in the most sympathetic and safely compliant way.
Ahead of demolition, Redstart can obtain asbestos surveys and oversee and manage the careful removal of asbestos. This control helps Redstart ensure any materials intended for re-use (under a WRAP protocol) remain compliant with the specification and free from any contamination.
During the demolition process we can decommission above ground structures and underground tanks ensuring they are dealt with properly, with structures being removed entirely and the contents disposed of properly and legally.
We locate and remove deep foundations to ensure no constraints to construction remain onsite. This work is completed carefully to minimise the disturbance of the ground. We undertake surveys of the areas of deep excavation and feed this back to the designer for consideration.
Experienced assessments
We are experienced in the assessment, cleaning and removal of former filling station fuel tanks and other double skinned cryogenic tanks. Any assets recovered will be off set against the project cost.
All demolition building materials will be assessed for suitability and where possible, processed and incorporated into the works or left for the customers use. We can produce recycled aggregates from the materials arisings tailored to your requirements for re-use onsite.
